It is 2010 and it is that time of year for New Year’s Resolutions! What will you be doing or not doing this year! What does the new you look like? If you have yet to decide or make a new year’s resolution, perhaps the following suggestions will give you some inspiration. These are some of the most popular new year’s resolutions that I have come across this year so far:
- Get a job / move jobs – find something I like
- Get a promotion – move up on onwards!
- Negotiate salary or working hours – get what I deserve (we can do individuals sessions on this!)
- Say ‘hello’ to all my colleagues each morning – connect more with people
- Spend more time with family
- Exercise! – whether it’s yoga, swimming, running, tennis, squash – do it!
- Always remember to say ‘thank you’
- Make an effort to get on better with [insert here!] (e.g. boss, partner, colleague, relative)
- Say ‘sorry’ and admit to any mistakes I made – own up. No shame in it.
- Eat healthily – watch the diet, cut out unhealthy foods.
- Try something new everyday – a meal, restaurant, an activity..
- Make time for [insert here] (e.g. a hidden passion – acting, singing, dancing, cooking, kayaking, scuba diving, snowboarding – whatever it is – do it!)
Do you have a new year’s resolution? What is it? How will you create that new you? Why not share what it is important to you and how you intend to make it happen. Let’s do this together – discover the new year and new you…

Nisa,
I generally to not support or believe in making New Year's Resolutions, as most people have stopped following them by the middle of February. However, I really liked your #12 resolution - Make time for a hidden passion. I believe that any person that does this one thing will have a much more enjoyable life and a noticeably richer one..
