    Work Life Balance: Personal Wellness

Today's post is written by Position Ignition Career Guide Stephanie Mount. See 'Similar Blogs' below for more posts from Stephanie.

What is the meaning of this term, 'work life balance'?  A scale, equilibrium and symmetry all come to mind. It is a fact that when one side of the scale is unbalanced, stress ensues. Work-life balance can be referred to as personal wellness which signifies both, professional and personal life well being.  It is about getting the dance balanced between your career and personal life.  More often than not, when we are doing what we are passionate about and engaged with, our life shifts into balance.  We shift from fear to joy or victim to creator.  We become action and solution oriented instead of problem oriented.

Here are some powerful questions to encourage you to think about shifting into your natural creator state:

What can you be the best in the world at?

What makes you giddy – "I get paid to do this?"

    What are you passionate about?

What do you love to do?

    What does the world need?

What are you capable of? What are your skills, experience and knowledge?

What do you want? What’s next and how can I navigate my way to my desired outcome?
