Pervin Shaikh is a Position Ignition Transition Coach and Career Guide, and shares the company’s passion in working with management level professionals in gaining clarity, setting career objectives and managing the career transition process. Pervin is an experienced career transition specialist, career coach and business owner.
Her focus is to assist professionals gain empowerment right from the start of the coaching relationship. This is crucial, especially for management and senior level management, who are expected to deliver exceptional business results, whilst managing a successful career. Pervin exhibits expertise in helping clients align their career values with career progression. She has enjoyed excellent success with her clients (mainly based in FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, as well as SME business owners) and she is very conversant with cross cultural values and cross border working environments in Europe, North America, Middle East, Australia and The Far East.
Pervin started her career as a trainee graduate on the Marks and Spencer graduate programme and transitioned into the square mile after graduating with a Masters in Industrial Relations from Warwick Business School, Warwick University. She briefly undertook a HR Research Associate role for USA headquartered Corporate Leadership Council (CLC), in London and then moved into the City. Pervin worked as a Research professional within Corporate Finance environments at Merrill Lynch (Bank of America Merrill Lynch), Lehman Brothers (Nomura), Bear Stearns and shorter contract roles as a Senior Researcher for KPMG and Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Pervin’s real interest in transition work and coaching started very early on in her career at Marks and Spencer where she experienced first-hand a structured approach to career management. However, it was her time in the City, which convinced her for the need for people to proactively seek continuous professional development (either in the same field or different fields), in order to enhance their career options. She herself embarked on a Diploma in Coaching at Coaching and Mentoring International (now known as Coaching Academy) and has been coaching professionally since 2007.
Pervin’s experience and success as a career coach, career guide and transition specialist, positions her well in working with mid-management and senior level management during the career management process.
